The Annual Rate and Census Reconciliation (ARC) Form is required in place of the wage & tax for Sold Group submission.
Why is this being enforced?
This ARC form is required by the Plan Administrator. The information captured on the form is used to complete the IRS Form 5500 for the SOCA Benefit Plan for the Department of Labor and the IRS, thus ensuring the plan complies with its reporting requirements.
How can a Group obtain a copy of their 5500 once it is filed?
An interested Group can look up a copy of their Form 5500 at the department of labor website here: https://www.efast.dol.gov/portal/app/disseminate?execution=e1s1
What are the consequences if the broker does not complete the forms for the Group?
Groups are required to submit data to the Plan Administrator. If they do not comply, they will likely be contacted by the Plan Administrator.
