Generate a census in FormFire FES

Generate Proposal is your private product library for the Employer. All products that you’ve assigned to the proposal appear here. You can:

• Remove plans from the proposal
• Download the completed proposal
• Or export all the data into a preloaded census template for the Carrier

In this article, we'll discuss how you can generate different censuses.

To start, first you need to add products to your Employer's proposal. For information on this, visit Navigating Products in FormFire FES.

From the Proposal Generation page, select Census to view different types of Carrier censuses you can populate with the Employer’s information and selected products.

Choose from the following Census Types:

• Product Census
• Carrier Census
• FormFire Census

All 3 census types are generated as Excel® spreadsheets that you can download to your computer. Let’s look at each census type in greater detail below.

Product Census

A Product Census is a census associated to the actual product. If the products in the proposals have associated censuses those censuses will automatically display. 

Otherwise, you can search for a census by product by selecting Product Census from the Census Type drop-down menu. Then, select the specific products and Carrier. When complete, select the Search button. After all available censuses populate on the screen, check the box by the census name you’d like and select Download.

Carrier Census

To search for a census associated to a Carrier, select the Carrier Census census type form the Census Type drop-down menu. Select the Search button to view all censuses for that carrier or further refine the censuses by Portfolio and Product.

Check the box by the census name you’d like and select Download.

Once the census is downloaded and opened, you will see that the census is formatted exactly to your Carrier’s specifications. You can upload directly to your Carrier’s website or can be emailed outside of FormFire FES directly to your Carrier Contact. 

A Portfolio is the collection of all products offered by a Carrier.

FormFire FES Census

This is a generic census based on all the information added into the Proposal. This can be used for your own records. Select from the following options:

• Benefits Monthly Snapshot
• Community
• Dental
• FormFire Quote Census
• Medical
• MU Screening Report Census
• Non Medical
• Vision

To view the a specific FormFire FES Census, check the box by the census name and select Download.
