FormFire FES provides Brokers with the ability to build dynamic quote proposals for their Employers through Proposal Templates. These enhanced proposals allow Brokers to easily manage one of the most manual and time-consuming jobs of quoting – creating a proposal based on an Employer’s specific needs.
The best part? Every Broker in your Agency can create their very own enhanced proposals for their Employers. Let’s take a look at how easy this process really is.
Start by selecting Proposal Templates from the Navigation Menu.
Then, select the plus button on the screen. This will allow you to create your first enhanced proposal template.
When on the Add New Proposal Template page, you will see that you have the ability to enhance what is in your proposal. This includes:
- Add the name of your template
- Select a specific order that the Products are presented
- Show specific benefits
- Customize the headers colors
Let’s take a deeper look into the enhanced options available to you.
- Edit an existing proposal template
- Viewing your enhanced proposal for an Employer
In this section, you can select the order in which the products will be displayed.
You can select from the following options:
- Carrier Name
- Product Name
- Individual Deductible
You also can add or remove 2 sections from your proposal:
- The Current product for the Employer
- The Renewal product that would be available to them
To add them, ensure that the check box next to each item is checked on. You will see that when selected, the box will become green with a white checkmark.
This section allows you to choose the different ways we can display costs to your Employer.
You must have one of the following selected:
- Employee Breakdown: Allows you to see the cost per Employee and their dependents in one amount in both Age Banded and Composite Rates (if applicable)
- Family Breakdown: Allows you to see the cost per person in both Age Banded and Composite Rates (if applicable).
- Employees listed as EE
- Spouses listed as SP
- Children listed as CH
- Medical Plans: Allows you to see the cost based on a relative monthly composite rate in either 2 or 4 tiers, depending on the product design
Split by Carrier allows you to generate separate proposals based on the Carriers you select through the initial proposal process.
This section allows you to choose what benefits are displayed in your proposal.
- Medical Deductible & Maximum Out of Pocket
- Physicians Services
- Emergency Services
- Hospital Services
- Diagnostic Procedures
- Pharmacy Deductible & Maximum Out of Pocket
- Pharmacy Retail
- Pharmacy Mail Order
Each option listed above will have additional specific choices that you can also include.
In this section, you can select the header text and background colors in your proposals.
You can use the preset colors available or you can type in the HEX code of the colors you would prefer in the text boxes provided.
You can preview the colors in this section before previewing the entire proposal template.
Use this section to select how the cost is generated and shown to your Employer.
You can select the following options for both the Cost Summary and the Employee Cost:
- Per Pay Period
Make sure to select Save in order to save your enhancements for this template.
When complete, you can actually preview your template before you use it on an Employer. Simply select the Preview button right above the Output section.
Your preview proposal will generate as an Excel® file and you should see it appear where all downloaded items appear from your browser.
This preview mode will not contain any Carrier specific data, but it will show you how Carrier data will be displayed.
FormFire FES recommends reviewing your enhanced proposal through the preview process to ensure that everything looks the way you want it to before you generate for your Employers.
Edit an existing proposal template
It is fairly easy to edit an existing enhanced template. From Proposal Templates, you will see a list of all enhanced templates you previously created. Select Edit – shaped like a pencil – under the Actions menu to edit a specific template.
Then, you can adjust anything that you need from the order of products to the header colors.
You must select Save to ensure that all changes are added to your template. And you can also preview the changes.
Viewing your enhanced proposal for an Employer
Once your enhanced proposal is complete, you can view for any current and future Employer through the normal proposal workflow in Generate Proposal.
When you get to the Generate Proposal page, select the proposal drop-down menu. This will allow you to select either the FormFire FES generic template or your enhanced template’s name. In this case, select your enhanced template’s name.
Then you can see your enhanced proposal with real data for your Employer, and you can provide to your contact for further review.
